The caption reads: “Hanby House, 150 West Main Street, Westerville, Ohio; Built 1848 [1846?]; Benjamin Russel Hanby (b. 1833–d. 1867).”  This watercolor was presented to my mother by Lora Robinson, who may or may not have painted it.  Hanby was a minister and composer, most noted for “Up on the Housetop.”  He was also active in the Underground Railroad.  This house in Westerville was a station on the Underground railroad.   See a brief biography of Hanby on Wikipedia.
