On Saturday, September 17, to celebrate the start of Oktoberfest in Munich, I tried Spaten’s Oktoberfestbier Ur-Märzen, my first tasting of a Märzen/Oktoberbest beer.  It is delicious!  Incredibly, it is not among beeradvocate.com’s top 50 Märzen/Oktoberbest beers.  I’m looking forward to trying some of the others in this category.  Zum Wohl!
